How to Find Your Ideal Brow Shape

Radial beauty analysis card with a brow design section

Brows frame the entire face, and the fastest way to find your ideal shape is to map three points against your own bone structure rather than copying a shape from someone else's face.

Mapping the three points

  • Start: hold a pencil vertically at the outer edge of your nostril — where it meets your brow is where your brow should start.
  • Arch: angle the pencil from your nostril through the outer edge of your iris while looking straight ahead — that point marks your highest arch.
  • End: angle the pencil from your nostril through the outer corner of your eye — where it crosses your brow bone is where your brow should end.

Matching shape to face shape

Soft, rounded faces generally benefit from a brow with a defined, slightly higher arch to add angles. Angular faces (square, rectangle) often look more balanced with a softer, more rounded brow that offsets sharp jaw or forehead lines.

Should my two eyebrows be identical?

No natural face has perfectly symmetrical brows — aim for them to look like siblings, not identical twins.
