A round face has soft curves, a jawline without sharp angles, and width that's roughly equal to length. The goal with a haircut isn't to change the shape — it's to add visual length and angles so the face reads as more defined.
Cuts that work
- Long layers past the chin — length elongates the face instead of framing it in a circle.
- A side part — breaks up horizontal symmetry and adds asymmetry that reads as more sculpted.
- Angled lobs or bobs — cut longer in the front, shorter in the back, so the line points downward rather than wrapping the roundness.

Do bangs work on a round face?
